While we were in Rotterdam for the day on our European road trip last July, much of our long walk was along the Nieuwe Maas.
We explored some of the newer neighbourhoods where modern buildings have sprouted up over the last few decades. Our journey crisscrossed the river and we walked over a number of bridges including Willemsbrug and Erasmusbrug. Along with all the riverfront architecture, we also noted a variety of boats doing their thang or moored at river's edge.
This collection of images features some views of the city of Rotterdam along the waterfront that include buildings, bridges and boats. Have a scroll through and thank you for stopping by!
I am so glad you decided to visit! Hope to see you back again next time.
(Psst: Did you happen to notice the Maasbeeld sculpture by Auke de Vries along the river in one of the shots? Does anyone have a favorite bridge or building in Rotterdam?)
Beautiful images - especially the 9th photo with those bright yellow panels above and the large red bridge in the distance. Rotterdam looks like a really nice place and I hope to visit someday. Thank you for sharing.
