Back in April, we spent a week in the small Swedish town of Ystad, located at the southern tip of Sweden in the Scania region.
We were chuffed to have rented someone's 2-floor apartment high up in a great, old brick water tower with views out the small windows and a spiral staircase leading from one floor to the other.
While we spent much of our time on day trips traveling around Scania, we also spent time wandering around Ystad -- mostly in the Old Town, but along the more industrial waterfront as well.
Here are a number of shots taken in Ystad. Have a scroll through and thanks for stopping by!
I really appreciate your visit! I hope you’ll be back next time.
(Pssst: That ladybug shot near the top of the post? That was just one of many, many, MANY ladybugs that were hibernating in the bathroom of the water tower apartment. Alarmingly, many were in the crevices of the windows and were disturbed when I cracked them open to let some steam out. I begged the fam to be very, very careful in the bathroom, as the ladybugs were coming out of hibernation a bit and often found crawling around the floor, and to not close the windows! It was a bit crazy, but very cool. I hope they all got where they needed to go in the end.)
Really great work! I like your use of color a lot.
Great images! I particularly loved the stairway photo, and the various colorful building facades.
