Last July, we spent a week in Stockholm.
I will always have a special place in my heart for Stockholm (don't tell my adopted city of Oslo): it is the very first place I ever visited in Europe way back in '99 (another era....another millennium!). It is always a pleasure to be back, even for a hot, balmy week in summer.
There is something special about Stockholm architecture. I can't help but love the happy colors (reminiscent, to me, of Rome somehow) as well as the curves on some of the fancier buildings and the fun detailing.
Here is a selection of images I shot of buildings and details that caught my eye during our wanderings in Stockholm last summer. Have a scroll through and thanks so much for your visit!
Thanks again for stopping by. Hope you’ll be back next time!
(Psst: Anyone notice the Swedish horses in one of the windows — or a load of pillows in another? Did you know that the “Brandstation” lamp hangs outside the oldest fire station in Stockholm and, maybe, in the world?)
Love your eye for architecture (micro and macro). Thanks for sharing.
Great collection!
