Last October, we drove from Oslo to Voss, a town in the mountains of Vestlandet to spend a week during our Fall Break.
On our drive through the mountain passes, we stopped to either charge, stretch our legs (or both), or merely snap a few pics as we headed through Hemsedal, Borgund and Lærdal.
Here are a few images from those areas of Norway. Have a scroll through and thank you for your visit!
Thanks very much for dropping by! I hope to see you again next time.
(Pssst: We have been up along these Norwegian roads in October a number of times over the years and 2024 was the “meh”-est fall color experience I’ve yet encountered. Climate change is so easy to see here in Norway (as I believe it is most everywhere these days, including the crazy hot days of summer so many regions have been dealing with). Longer summers, droughts, much less snow in the winter where we live in Oslo and, this past year especially, a very late fall. What have you noticed locally to you that really drives home the scary and real presence of global warming?)
Great capture of the architecture and colors of the countryside, well done!
I visited Norway three times as a kid as my parents had friends who lived in Lillestrøm. Your photos always remind me of some of the places I visited and just how beautiful the country is. Hopefully, one day, I’ll get back there.
