Last summer, we spent a week visiting Stockholm.
Here is a collection of images I took of some artistic sights found around the city, including in the Moderna Museet (which I hadn’t visited since 1999) and in the fun, artistic subway stations.
Have a scroll through and thanks for stopping by!
I really appreciate your visit. Hope to see you again next time!
(Psst: Did you happen to find something here that you liked or that moved you in some way? Did the image by Cecilia Edefalk startle you? For me, it’s every time I see it. Anybody familiar with the artist Maurizio Cattelan? (I was not but found I really liked his pieces.) If so, have you seen the *face* on the sculpture Him? Were you surprised? Has anyone come across sculptures by Jaume Plensa? We have a similar sculpture, Chloé, in Oslo so I wondered, upon seeing it, whether the piece in Stockholm was by the same artist. It was.)
Excellent series and my 2 standouts are L.O.V.E. by Maurizio Cattelan and Him also by Maurizio Cattelan. Very interesting!
What a culture rich city with so much art available in the public space. I find these fascinating, most I have not seen, thank you for sharing!
